Newsweek Names Park View One of Minnesota’s Best Nursing Homes for 2026

Park View Health Care Center in Buffalo, Minnesota, is proud to announce it has been named one of Newsweek‘s America’s Best Nursing Homes for 2026. Park View ranked fifth in Minnesota among nursing homes with 50 to 99 beds, reinforcing its reputation as a trusted choice for families.

“Being recognized in Newsweek as one of the nation’s best nursing homes is a testament to our employees in the great care they provide daily to our residents, the outcomes managed by our leadership team and the support and staffing afforded by our organization, Cassia,” says Park View Health Care Center Administrator Mat Bedard.

This national recognition reflects the consistent dedication of the Park View team to quality and resident-centered care.

Of the more than 15,000 Medicare- and Medicaid-certified nursing homes nationwide, Newsweek and global data intelligence firm Statista evaluated communities located in the 33 states with the most nursing homes. Only 1,200 communities earned recognition.

Nursing homes were assessed using four key pillars: performance data, peer recommendations, accreditations and resident satisfaction, with clinical performance data carrying increased weight in 2026 to reflect the growing emphasis on quality outcomes.

This recognition is rooted in Park View’s consistent commitment to excellence in skilled nursing care and long-term care. Park View Health Care Center has achieved multiple deficiency-free state surveys, including a Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Risk-Based Survey reserved for the top 10 percent of performers in Minnesota, and continues to maintain a 5-Star Quality Rating in the CMS Care Compare system.

“We appreciate the recognition in Newsweek,” Mat says. “While it is a special accolade, we feel best knowing that our team is providing great service to the seniors at Park View since they are the generation who built our community. We are standing on their shoulders today because of their hard work, and it’s an honor to serve them and their families.”

This distinction reinforces Park View’s role as a trusted choice for families seeking high-quality nursing home care in Minnesota, whether for short-term rehabilitation or long-term care.
